I wanna be on the six o'clock news tonight in Paris where labor and students are angry and they don't take shit from their government closing down the airports throwing fire bombs in the streets fighting with the cops part of me wants to be there and part of me wants to be in Havana walking down the La Rampa my very movements saying fuck you to a country a million times the size of mine not giving in to the pressure of economic and psychological blackmail standing tall for Che' and Marti' part of me wants to be there where the people are warm and the palm trees wave hello under a smiling sun and I wanna be in Berlin where the Germans remind me of leather and discipline with their hard accents a place where the Anarchists fight with the skin heads and Rosa Luxembourg would be proud part of me wants to be there to see what George Grosz might have seen before Hitler took his art and arrested him instead all of me is stuck in a country gone right-wing mad where less is more and it's uncool to be kind where kids are targets and solutions are moral lectures I wanna be somewhere anywhere but here and most days in my mind I am.
