Tender Moments

Rosa Clement
1995

When time allows, I always like to stray, to feel the tender moments of a day. I like to quietly watch the rising sun, and feel the gentle breezes that slowly run, or find retreats where drops of dew repose, or watch as sunrays wake a languid rose, a pupa dressing like a butterfly, its trembling wings that soon will try the sky. I greet the afternoon that brings to me the shadows of the young banana tree. I like to watch the sun that paints the west, the eagle's flight that takes it to its nest, the night that covers sunrays like a cloth, and heaven's lamp that lures me like a moth.
