Daydreaming

1 How many days can you sit
thinking of nothing but something
Chomping at the bit
that life has you chewing

Dream yourself a horse
To take you away from reality
and set you on a new course
that most call fantasy

Do what you will
and do what you may
Imagine the night is still
and that you want to play

Play with someone real
but unmet
Do what you feel
and get the motions set

Have an interlude or two
with people you've seen
You can't ever be blue
for this is something you've never been

And all the while
the wind makes the trees lean
but you have a smile
because you are in your daydream.
