America is the home of the free and the land of the brave/ A land where no man is really free and noone is saved/ Everything so sterotypical, and everybody is being judged/ Anything ain't anything and please tell me what is love/ My thoughts are so scattered, my friends are too/ I don't trust a damn soul. I probaly don't trust you/ We all live in a world where you can't be yourself/ We all live a block and two houses from death/ If a black girl's hair is straight, long, fake, or blond she trying to be white/ If she hangs out with one gay girl then she becomes a dike/ A white girl decides to get braids and wear weave/ Then she acting black and she just make believe/ A black guy wears glasses and talk with common sense/ He turns into a "uncle tom" and he just built a fence/ Now he got to prove to be down or black if they say/ And climb that fence he built every night and all day/ White guy listens to rap and r&b and decides to get tattoos like we/ He got to be acting black and trying to prove to be a g/ Then I ask...
What is being black and what has it come to/ Living in a ragedy house, wearing gold, and having tattoos/ Dropping out of school, selling dope, and smoking/ Not getting to be a star, supporting your family, just hoping/ Cursing, putting gel in your hair, and long ass nails/ Carrying a gun, getting arrested and not making bail/ Please Please tell me what exactly it is to be right/ Because doing the opposite is simply acting white/ We give this acting a certain color thing too much power/ Now its suppose to be our heritage and its something we devour/ We give slavery too much credit/ We charge it to the game, he'll put it on my debit/ Slavery didn't happen to us. We don't know those people/ We won't help a single homeless guy our hatred only gets deeper/ We give the word "nigger" coolness and praise/ Because we were supposely called that in the old days/ N-I-G-G-A is alright to me/ It represents hardcore, it represents the streets/ N-I-G-G-E-R is racist i'm offended/ We toss, we turn, that word-we bend it/ Nigger is only hurtful or racist because we put it to use/ It ain't racist when the user is you/ Its just a word it don't have any meaning/ But since the "white man" use it he sceaming/ Let's just go back to Africa and go back to our roots/ We ain't NEVER been to Africa we'll probaly get the boot/ America is the home of the free and the land of the brave/ He'll im brave and i'm certainly free/ The kids ain't free, part to blame is t.v./ T.V. is so outraged and they show so much/ Sex, dealing drugs, foul words it's just a touch/ Radio can curse now its all in the ghetto/ But thats where the black people are, they settled/ People need church because church is the truth/ Church is where the most back stabbing people are- affecting our youth/ Its hard to believe a pastor when everybody is so crooked/ Its hard to trust your soul when somebody took it/ Real friends are not real if they talk behind your back/ Hell, nobody is really real then and that is just that/ Babydaddy is just a word I guess father is too much to ask/ Babydaddy becomes father after the 1st and the 15th past/ People will remeber what you did wrong more than what you did right/ The media will need a story to tell just for the hype/ Nobody really wants to hear the truth and change/ Nobody don't 100% change without doing something insane/ Will America change after all that has happened? No, America will let it happen first. PREVENT IT
