Where Will I lie When I Am Gone

Will those who live and tidy up
the loose ends of my unraveling,
Scratch their heads and look about
for an empty place to tuck me in
Or will I have a measured plot and
marble stone to mark the spot?
And who will lie beside me there
in that cool nocturnal soil?
Will you and I have finally found
the peace we longed for in our life;
To stare through partly open eyes
at roots of flowers growing in the light.
