Look down her throat
When she yawns
A map of Africa

Is it her genetic pattern
For first stage return
To some royal tomb

Again her open mouth hisses
Delicately tasting the scent
Of everthing entering domocile

She numbers the library books
Counts those about cats
And nibblesThumbed corners

She impersonates every
Painting sculpture & print
Has she visited museums

In another life
Cat's bird white claws
Suspicion flight

When our earth is bare
Does she have a flight plan
For the stars
