I agree with Wendy concerning her final comments on shock-value
being less than good craft.
There were some beautifully crafted phrasing here, and in pieces
it is gorgeous, though the first stanza is a travesty, Bob; you
have to know that.
As a whole, it is somewhat less than the sum of its parts to me,
because I, at this stage in my poetic endeavors, did not completely
understand it. It was a "Jabberwocky" experience: I enojoyed the
feel of the words, but am not very sure from where they are coming.
Still, let me reitterate: in pieces, it soars.
