JP - if you truly want some constructive critique, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
You don't need to do much - First of all, don't touch your language - that's your
style - if anything, it's meter that makes the poem flow - that can be worked
quite easily - usually only takes a few minutes if it's a good poem to start -
and yours always are.
